Updated July 23, 2018 05:00:23Cardinals quarterback Carson Palmer is still in Tampa Bay to prepare for the start of the 2018 NFL season.
The Cardinals’ first game is on Sunday, July 22 at Tampa Bay, where they host the Buccaneers.
The game is also being played on CBS.
Palmer has been practicing in the Tampa Bay area since early July and is expected to play.
It’s not the first time Palmer has had to go back and adjust to a new team since he was drafted.
Palmer was a third-round pick of the Cardinals in the 2015 NFL Draft.
He started three games in the final three years of his rookie contract, but he missed the majority of 2016 due to a torn ACL.
In 2018, Palmer was limited to just three games due to an injury.
He played in eight games for the Cardinals and threw for 1,092 yards, 11 touchdowns and seven interceptions.
He was released in August of 2018 and signed with the Tampa-area Bucs.
He was one of the most popular players in Tampa during his time with the Bucs, leading the team with an average of 5,928 fans per game during the 2016-17 season.
