Cards quarterback Cody Kessler, who missed Thursday’s game with an ankle injury, is expected to be cleared to play for Sunday against the Packers, according to sources familiar with the situation.
The source spoke to Fox Sports on the condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to discuss the team.
Kessler missed the first half of Thursday’s preseason game against the Lions with a toe injury.
He was not on the field for Thursday’s scrimmage because of a calf injury.
The team has had three players in for Week 1 practices: receiver Davante Adams, running back Andre Ellington and quarterback Garrett Grayson.
Quarterback Garrett Grayson, who was a member of the Browns’ Week 1 roster, practiced Friday.
He said he did not practice Thursday due to the ankle injury.
Garrett Grayson, the Browns QB, is out with a calf contusion.
He did not participate in practice Thursday.
He will play Sunday against Green Bay.
Quarters linebacker Kevin Williams, a member the Browns team that defeated the Lions on Thursday, did not play in Thursday’s practice.
Williams has been out since late October with a hamstring injury.
The Browns have been without defensive end Sheldon Rankins, who is out for two weeks with a shoulder injury.
Kellogg and the Browns have yet to determine whether the two are out for the season.
