KATX TV host Jake Taper will be in for a surprise on Tuesday as he is set to make history.
He will be the first network anchor to win the ratings crown after the Super Bowl 50 halftime show on Tuesday.
Tapper has been averaging more than 4 million viewers per game.
The network’s “Inside Politics” host also will be on the air for the first time in the Superbowl, joining host Alisyn Camerota.
The ratings champ will also be the network’s biggest star and be the only one to have two TV ratings victories in a row.
He has been the top-rated anchor on CBS since he started on the network in 1996.CNN’s Jake Tappers show on the CBS affiliate KATY in Denver on Tuesday night was the network first Superbowl telecast since 1996.
The network is in its ninth season of Superbowl broadcasts.
